Biohydrophytic Drainage Support for Building the Biohydrofitowa® Infiltration System

Support made of stainless steel. For building a typical system for up to 6 people, we recommend purchasing 11 supports.

The installation consists of a filtration layer of sand and gravel and water-loving plants, among which reed works best.

The filtration layer is prepared directly in the native soil – first remove the humus layer, then fill the resulting excavation with sieved sand with grain size 0.5–2 mm, up to 10 cm below ground level. The sand should be carefully leveled and made horizontal. A 5-centimeter layer of washed gravel with granulation 8–16 mm or 16–32 mm is then created on the sand, which must also be leveled – it will serve as a base for mounting the sprinkler supports.

At this stage, drive the sprinkler supports until they rest on the gravel layer. Place them in a single line, along the axis of the excavation, at 2-meter intervals. Then cover everything with another layer of gravel (granulation 8–16 mm or 16–32 mm) to a height of about 10 cm. The finished bed should reach 6 cm below the bottom edge of the holes in the supports.

Mount 50 mm diameter pipes with perforation in the lower part on the supports – 10 mm diameter holes spaced every 1 meter. The minimum bed width should be 50 cm.
