Kingspan BioAir 6 domestic sewage treatment plant

The Kingspan Klargester BioAir wastewater treatment plant is a reliable and efficient solution with a simple design.

It is designed for households without access to sewage systems. Thanks to flexible installation options, the product can be placed in many areas of the property.

The treatment plant has been designed so that raw sewage is ultimately treated to a very high quality standard, achieving BOD ⁵ reductions of 97.5%.

How it works

1. Main chamber

The wastewater flowing into the tank is aerated.

This process activates aerobic bacteria, which form activated sludge that biologically purifies wastewater.

2. Gravity flow

The liquid containing suspended activated sludge particles flows by gravity into the clarification chamber.

3. Clarification chamber

The activated sludge is heavier than water, so it sinks to the bottom. From there, it is continuously recirculated to the main chamber.

Treated wastewater flows by gravity or pressure into a watercourse or the ground.
