The Kingspan BioDisc system is based on RBC (Rotating Biological Contractor) technology. It is one of the best domestic biological treatment systems available on the market.

The tank is made of GRP, glass fiber reinforced polyester resin, which ensures high strength, resistance to aggressive environments, and non-absorbency.

This type of treatment plant is virtually maintenance-free, odorless, and, above all, quiet. There’s no pump responsible for aerating the wastewater; this process is handled by the company’s patented discs mounted on a low-speed motor. These discs don’t require the use of additional biopreparations, saving time and money.

Rotating biological beds ensure a level of pollutant removal of ~97.5%, unmatched in other treatment plants. Thanks to this, the treated sewage can be safely used for watering the garden or discharged into ditches or rivers (after obtaining the appropriate permit).

The treatment process at the Kingspan BioDisc treatment plant is as follows:

– Primary sedimentation tank, where raw sewage first arrives. Here, fats are retained, solid particles are separated, and particles forming sediment settle. The pre-treated sewage then flows by gravity to the next zone.

– The first zone of rotating beds. In this section, wastewater is discharged onto rotating plates with a biological membrane composed of aerobic microorganisms that absorb organic substances from the wastewater and, above the surface, oxygen. The treated wastewater is then discharged, appropriately dosed, into the second zone of rotating beds via a system of cups.

– The second zone of the rotating beds is responsible for final cleaning. Thanks to appropriate dosing, the treatment plant maintains optimal hydraulic balance, which translates into high efficiency.

– The secondary settling tank collects excess biological membrane at the bottom, and the remaining purified liquid is finally purified and ready for discharge.

Advantages of the Kingspan BioDisc system:

  • Very high purification level ~97.5% confirmed by tests in accordance with PN-EN:12566-3+A22013.
  • Effective even with irregular sewage flow.
  • High comfort of use thanks to the maintenance-free design.
  • Quiet operation due to the low-speed engine and lack of an air pump.
  • High durability and low failure rate thanks to a small number of consumables.
  • The treatment plant takes up little space.
  • Control panel displaying information about operation and potential errors.
  • The patented disk system, introduced in 1974 and continuously improved, ensures many years of trouble-free operation.
  • Zero emission of unpleasant odors thanks to the lack of an air pump.
  • Possibility of daily sewage treatment at the level of 1.2 m3.
  • The relatively low weight of 388 kg allows for convenient transport and easy assembly.
  • Possibility to choose one of four sewage inlet heights (45, 75, 100, 125cm).
