Main chamber<\/h5>\n<p>The wastewater flowing into the tank is aerated.<\/p>\n<p>This process activates aerobic bacteria, which form activated sludge that biologically purifies wastewater.<\/p>\n<h5>2. Gravity flow<\/h5>\n<p>The liquid containing suspended activated sludge particles flows by gravity into the clarification chamber.<\/p>\n<h5>3. Clarification chamber<\/h5>\n<p>The activated sludge is heavier than water, so it sinks to the bottom.
