The BioFicient treatment plant is a reliable and durable solution for households without access to a sewer system. This advanced, modern, highly efficient device utilizes fluidized, moving, and submerged biological filter technology. The treatment plant consists of four treatment stages, two of which are aerobic, ensuring effective treatment.

Kingspan BioFicient offers three models (4, 6, and 10 PE) to suit your needs. Available models: 4 and 6 PE (Person Equivalent). Tanks are made of MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene).

How does the Kingspan BioFicient treatment plant work?

Wastewater treatment begins in the primary settling tank, where coarse fractions separate and settle to the bottom, retaining fats. This process is supported by anaerobic bacteria. Pre-treated wastewater, free of coarse fractions, flows into the first aerobic section, where it is aerated and naturally produces activated sludge. This sludge accumulates on a plastic bed, creating biomass that naturally cleanses the wastewater of chemicals and organic substances. The next stage is the second aerobic section, where the treatment process is repeated in the same manner as in the first chamber. This repetition ensures more effective treatment. The final stage is the secondary settling tank, where dead biomass is retained. To increase the purity of treatment, the biomass from the secondary settling tank is periodically recirculated to the primary settling tank. Ultimately, the treatment plant produces very well-treated sewage which can be infiltrated using infiltration wells, drainage tunnels or, after obtaining permits, discharged into surface waters, e.g. rivers and lakes.

If it is necessary to use the inlet deeper than 80 cm from the ground level, it is possible to equip it with an additional extension.
