The purpose of the pumping station is to transport industrial sewage, municipal sewage, drainage water and others over greater distances or to a higher level (e.g. to another tank). Most often, contaminants from domestic sewage treatment plants flow directly to the pumping station tank and from there, using submersible pumps, they are led through appropriate pipes to the treated sewage receiver.
